Paul the Psychic Octopus

It turns out that the world cup is not a real contest because the results are pre-ordained by Paul the Psychic Octopus:

Apparently he has never been wrong.

Anyway, don't cancel anything to watch the finale today because Spain's gonna win.

  1. He was wrong once during the EM. I think he has a better predicting method than anything else and I don't think he has been wrong yet during this WM.
Some people think its not predicting so much as controlling...

  5. The best thing is that the "crawl" underneath the octopus refers to a "State of emergency" across 19 provinces." Guess a soccer-predicting octopus takes precedence.

  7. He got the Euro 2008 final wrong - 'predicted' Germany would win. It was Spain.

Otherwise the tendrilly fellow has a 100% record.

  12. Paul predicted everything correctly this world cup.A lot has been said about him and he got a lot of coverage too.People were more interested in him and his predictions rather than the goings-on of this world cup edition.
