Kids Be Gone

As a grad student, Apple helped me generate countless spell-checked research papers. Years later they're still there for me, helping me be a better mom.

Thanks to iPhone, parents can now legally - secretly - torture their teens with an application that emits ultrasonic noise only they can hear.

It's called 'Kids Be Gone,' aka 'Mother's Little Helper.' I've also heard it referred to as 'Vex a Teen.'

(Tempting, I know, but please be careful not to use around small children.)

  1. On the flip side, teens can also download this noise as a ringtone so that adults (aka teachers) can't hear when their handys go off!

  2. They are an innovative group. Sometimes I think children know how to block out sounds from their mum. I wonder if they can beat this app.

  6. Thanks for updating me on these. It's a cool application but like one of the above commenter i too would say that kids are really smart these days and they can also block out sounds from their mom.Hope App has something to counter that probability too.
