Sorry, that just popped into my head at the gym yesterday, where the unspoken rule is, Don't pick the stairmaster next to anyone with dark sweaty hair. Ah, summer. Time to answer tough, life-changing questions, like, 'Should I diet or buy long shirts?'
But it's small town Sunday again, courtesy of Wendy, and once again I'm digging out old vacation pictures. I actually lived in a Japanese small town for 2 years but that was before digital cameras. These picures are from our 2002 Japan vacation, when I was a gauche young girl with freckles, do-it-yourself bangs and one eyebrow.

Great pictures!! I need to get overseas!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. It was interesting to see a graveyard so different than the kind I am accustomed to. And all those people! Yikes.
ReplyDeletelong shirts are hard to find
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love the photo of the intersection.
ReplyDeleteYou have a much broader small town experience than I. Thank you for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! We used to have Japanese exchange students when I was growing up, so I've eaten a lot of Japanese food. Still can't handle the seaweed flakes, and umiboshi is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteThat little boy is adorable! And you do NOT have just one eye brow.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the title, I thought this post was going to be about how much stinkier Germans are -- don't you just love riding in a crowded bus or S-Bahn with a bunch of sweaty Germans at the end of a HOT summer day?...
ReplyDeleteOK, maybe I'm just jealous -- I'm wearing a sweater because it's barely in the 50's today...
Great pictures of Japan!
Wow! It looks fabulous. I would love to travel there! P.S. I finally got back to the tag :)

Love the graveyard -the headstones look like miniature tower blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletePS: I don't think you had one eyebrow either.
