The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

The third Stieg Larrson book just arrived. It's fat. I'm excited.

A word about the trilogy's heroine, Lisbeth: She is a genius with a photographic memory. She is perfectly peacable as long as people leave her alone. If they try to harm her, she takes over their computer, then kills or maims them.

It's easy to see why these books are so popular.

  1. Hi! Glad that you were able to view my blog today but the funny thing is..I didn't change anything! On my screen, the middle section has always been white, but for some reason with certain browsers the checks are over the whole screen making it difficult to read. I hope it stays clear for you!

  2. So, you're saying Lisbeth acts on the impulses that most women keep in check?

  3. After your blog about the introvert in you, I'm thinking this book might be some kind of personal projection -- a mirror of sorts for you. I could see you taking over someone's computer... :)

  5. That sounds so cool! I guess with all the cyber crime, our new horrors will have to revolve around computers to spook everyone.

  9. Nice to see this book mentioned in blogspot! I just got my copy from UK and I'm on pg 151. Unputdownable for the entire trilogy.
I've said before that I think Lyra Belaqua grew up to be Lisbeth Salander

  10. Yes - they are good! As I said before, the films have had good reviews too over here in Sweden...

  11. I read the first two (actually finishing the second now). Looking forward to the third. Lisbeth Salander is a compelling protagonist!
